Stones and Anniversary's

Wow! What an interesting few days!

Thursday started off great! We had friends over to hang out and you were very interested in what they wanted to watch on TV. You did OT and tracked me with your eyes like crazy. You wouldn't turn your head unless I went to the other side. You fell asleep in the recliner and so I decided to make you more comfortable by putting you to bed. Thats when things changed. Within 5 minutes you started pouting and screaming. I did everything I could to try and make you feel better. I turned you, I got in the bed and held you, and nothing was working. I knew something was off but I wasn't sure what. I decided to load you up and take you to the ER. As we were driving, you were completely calm and didn't appear to be in any pain anymore. I started questioning if I should take you in because I didn't want to seem like that first time mom who took the baby to the ER because they sneezed. I sure am happy I did. Poor kiddo! You have kidney stones in both kidneys and in your bladder. It has to be miserable! They admitted you for pain management and more testing. We were able to get your new EEG for the neurologist to review. Unfortunately they couldn't do your MRI because of the rods in your back but that will come too! You are taking it like a champ! I brought you home the next day and am watching you at home as you go through the discomfort of passing them. I got you kiddo!

Yesterday was also our 6 month anniversary! Exactly 6 months ago, I got to become your mom and now I get to be your mom forever! I am overjoyed. This hospital stay sparked a fire in me that I thought that I had lost. My creative juices started flowing and now many things are in the works! I can't wait to see where it takes us! I don't want to spill the beans yet until it becomes a reality but I can barely hold in the excitement! Things are going to be so great! I love you kiddo!
